I would like to share my passion of helping independent artists, and kindle the same fire in you.
I've made some great contacts at comic conventions, but I can't travel to them all. Kickstarter has helped me find other works that interest me and allow me to throw my meager 2 cents into their pocket. Here is an interesting story that needs to be told.
I get nothing out of this, other than knowing I helped a guy out and my issue of the comic!

I keep finding myself in the position of helping to support independent artists on Kickstarter. But dang it, they deserve a patron.

Dungeons √ Dragons √ — THIS is a dungeon crawl series of a whole new kind. Can one world's computer whiz become another world's wizard?
It's definitely worth a look. Watch the video and I'm sure you'll be interested. It's a mix of sci-fi, fantasy, and roll playing - wrapped up in comic form.
My intent is not to act as a commercial, but to share the work of artists that interest me. I do not get special favors. Only the satisfaction of helping someone to get their art int
more fantastic artists to support
I met the artist of the following Kickstarter, Christopher Campana, and he's a great guy; and he's very close to full funding on his Kickstarter. His story is called "The First World," and is an epic fantasy. Please click through to watch his promotion and see the rewards.
Another Kickstarter I'm backing is by the group of guys from Digital Webbing. It's called, The Fist of Justice. They have some big names working on the project and I'm very excited about it.
Just to clarify - I get nothing out of this, other than knowing I helped out great artists/creators (and of course my reward for being a backer).
Kickass Kickstarter(s)
I don't normally send notes like this for fear people think they might be spam - but this Kickstarter project is awesome! Several artists will be creating and illustrating a short story based completely on the lyrics of a song. They are close to reaching their goal but could use some more backers. Check it out.
Many of the artists are on DA. (Links to all of the artists can be found on the Kickstarter page.)
While I'm at it, I'll plug another project that was fully funded on Kickstarter. Wild Blue Yonder has me absolutely giddy. Post-apocalypse(like) stories always pull me in. The writer, Mike Raicht, is such a great guy. I'm glad I
Too much happening to catch up on
I was asked by a co-worker to take a few pictures of her. I explained that I had no experience with that type of photography. I'm not sure why, but she was insistent.
We went to two local parks. After avoiding a hoedown [I kid not] we found a tree with some nice texture I had scouted earlier. I liked the depth of field I was able to get with the other trees in the background. We also played around on the swings for a bit. Good shots, but wasn't the best lighting.
We then went to the other park at a man made lake (pond by most standards). I liked the color of the sm
